Medan - Penang - Hadyai

My journey began from 6 o'clock in the morning. I opened my window and what an amazing view I saw...

That might be a good opening for today's agenda for Thailand. When the time showed 11:30 AM, I and my family went to Polonia airport. Unlike usual, there were fewer cars on the street today, it might be because of many people returning home, it's what we call mudik in the Indonesian language. After we had reached Polonia airport, we directly checked in at the flight counter.



There were 3 families which made a total of 12 people on this trip. We went to Toba Lounge after all of us had checked in. There were nice facilities here including Wi-Fi. Never miss the chance to use the Wi-Fi, haha. Our flight, Malaysian Airlines, should have taken off at 01:50 PM but it was delayed. Passengers were allowed to get into the plane at 02:00 PM. We reached Penang at 02:50 PM. After we had checked out, we went directly to Hadyai with a minibus that had been waiting at the parking lot. This trip took about 4 hours.


Finally, we reached the border of Malaysia and Thailand at 06:55 PM. Well, it was time for dinner so we had our dinner at Sawoei Restaurant. Sawoei Restaurant has its own unique icon which is its boss. She has a lion's hairstyle, haha. We stayed at the Lee Garden Plaza Hotel in Hadyai. We reached there at 09:45 PM but it did not mean bedtime yet. Lee Garden Plaza Hotel is located in the same building with a shopping center. Besides, there were night markets in front. Wow!
