Hadyai - Penang
Wow! Being in Hadyai is just like being home, haha. I had come here several times. The most interesting activity is going to the night markets in front of the Lee Garden Plaza Hotel. All sorts of things can be found easily here, such as food, clothes, entertainment, and souvenirs.
We did not stay at Lee Garden Plaza Hotel this time but we stayed at the Golden Crown Hotel. In the morning, we had a walk around the hotel to find something for breakfast. Then, we stopped at a dim sum stall. I saw many old men having their breakfast. They spoke the Hokkien language. It was quite surprising for me because I had never found that before.
Today we went back to Penang to stay for 2 nights there before going home to Medan. We had our lunch at Jaelek Restaurant at 11:45 AM. The menu was Tu Kha Bak (fried meat) and fried vegetables. It was high in cholesterol but yummy!
We passed the border of Malaysia and Thailand at 02:20 PM. Then, we went to the Sunway Hotel in Penang. If you stay at Sunway Hotel, do not ever forget to eat roasted duck. It can be found at 5 blocks next to Sunway Hotel.
